“ROSTELECOM” ARMENIA STAFF ATTENDED THE PERFORMANCE BY THE DISABLED CHILDREN FROM A SPECIAL CARE CENER

On December 4, 2019 a group of “Rostelecom” employees visited the charitable NGO "Prkutyun" center for disabled children and youth, where they attended the performance with participation of beneficiary young people.

The performance headed “Yerevan the place of my love” reflected the approaches and stereotypes towards the disabled children and youth, the beneficiaries suggested simple, human explanations and solutions. It was aimed to raise awareness and assure society that every member matters and has the right to be equally integrated in social life, to live and to be happy: they need warmth and care from people.

«We should always care about each member of the society, who has limited or special needs. I am sure our actions have certain impact and reflection in lives of the beneficiaries. I strongly believe that we should not just remember and speak about the problems disabled people are facing on December 3, the International Day of Disabled People,
but have continuous support for them as society members who just think differently and have another vision to live. That is one of the “Rostelecom” Armenia social responsibility programs and strategy core values”, - mentioned the CEO of “Rostelecom” Armenia Hayk Faramazyan.

“Rostelecom” Armenia provided the NGO with financial aid to buy warm winter clothes for beneficiary young people, as well as Christmas sweet, that the employees disseminated during their visit.

The company employees had a tour in the center, got acquainted with the clubs (handicraft, pottery, computer skills development, New Year presents and cards, etc.), the directions of professional support and the individual work, that is conducted with each member of about 60 beneficiaries of the center.

“We are happy and thankful for the “Rostelecom” employees visit, because beneficiary children and young people just get excited from such visits, their work is being appreciated. Together with the staff we try to make the beneficiaries integrated members of society as much as possible. I am sure that our efforts are not in vain, as “Prkutyun” is the only daycare center for young people with mental disabilities”,-mentioned Arpine Abrahamyan, director of “Prkutyun” NGO.
