“ROSTELECOM” ARMENIA ANNOUNCED THE WINNER OF THE STUDENT PROJECT 2018

On July 30, 2018 “Rostelecom” Armenia summed up the results of the student project at the company’s headquarters during the certificate awarding ceremony.

This year the project united d 25 students from different universities: Yerevan State University (YSU), National Polytechnic University of Armenian (NPUA), Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE), Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University (ARU), French University in Armenia (UFAR), Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences (YSULSS), Information and Communication Technology Institute.

“In general, this project is unique because apart from the general practical knowledge about marketing, sales, communications, technical issues and other important topics, students get acquainted with “Rostelecom” Armenia corporate values(responsibility, quality, innovation, human behavior) the mission, staff, customer policy, learn cases, which as a customer they would evaluate differently, but here they learn about very important approaches and practices which are not visible to the outside world. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is not just a combination of words for the company, and we highlight the importance of any of its manifestation. At the same time students and educational programs are one of the company’s main and important CSR projects and emerging directions. These are the values and information my colleagues present and speak about during the trainings. We are happy that young generation will join our staff at the end of the project, they have aspirations, fresh ideas, know how to reach their own goals. Congratulations to the winner and welcome to “Rostelecom”, - mentioned General Director Advisor, Boris Demirkhanyan.

The student program included interactive tutorial and cognitive training on more than 10 topics (starting from communications, marketing, branding, legal formulations, sales skills, HR basics, up to optics, network solutions and other interesting directions), practical projects, individual and team projects. Students had also presented their suggestions and solutions for different aspects of company activities of “Rostelecom” Armenia.

At the end the winner of the project Isabel Broyan from Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University, got the opportunity to pass a three-month paid internship at her preferred department. And in case of positive results during the project she may join the “Rostelecom” Armenia team as well.

“This is an unprecedented opportunity for a student. In the scope of this project students are heard. I think just a few companies provide such opportunities to students for self-expression and presenting own ideas”, - mentioned the winner of the project, Isabel Broyan.

Like in previous projects, students with creative thinking, flexibility, team spirit, knowledge, quick orientation ability also got job offers.

The project is held for the fourth time, and every year at least 5 students join “Rostelecom” Armenia staff. The participants work in IT security, network planning, sales, customer care and other departments. They mention that this is an exclusive opportunity for every student to learn about the business processes and culture of large companies, and the most important, to work in such a company as “Rostelecom”.
