COMPETITION FOR MIDDLE AGED (50+) INTERNET USERS. “ROSTELECOM” ANNOUNCES THE START OF 2016 CONTEST

For the second time “Rostelecom” in Armenia holds “Thanks to Internet 2016” competition organized only for older generation Internet users.

This interactive competition, which describes people’s individual achievements on computer literacy, for the first time was held in Armenia in 2015. Based on the decision of Russian organizers Armenia became the first country where local people were allowed to take part in a Russian speaking competition. As a result in 2015 3 participants from Armenia were rewarded with tablets.

The 2016 contest is designed for older generation users (50+) who have learnt how to use a computer and internet on their own or through special computer courses as well.  

To apply for the project one should visit the website www.azbukainterneta.ru “Competition”/«Конкурс» section and fill in the form by uploading a short essay as well as two photos one of which in front of the computer.

“Middle aged people’s interest towards computer lteracy classes testifies on the success of the contest. Nowadays, not only young people but also middle aged population is interested in new technologies and internet resources. And it is worth praising that today most of them are active users of social networks, and successfully follow the newsfeed through the internet. “Rostelecom” has its impact on this process. We call on users of older generation to register and take part in the contest this year as well. Deadline for the applications is October 1, 2016.

The competition is organized jointly with “Rostelecom” PJSC and “Pesion Fund of Russian Federation (PFR)”.
