On June 22, 2015 GNC ALFA CSJC on behalf of “Rostelecom” in Armenion signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation with the community of Abovyan city.

The aim of the Memorandum was to develop the infrastructure of the city community, to provide environment protection and infrastructure developmnent in Abovyan city. In particular, with the support of “Rostelecom” the public parks will be renovated with development of free Wi-Fi network. It is planned to expand the cooperation in the future for the benefit of public welfare.

We add that from 2014 onwards seven primary schools of Abovyan, the art, music and chess schools, Centre for Sports and Culture Complex, a community library, children's creative center, St. Hovhannes the Baptist Church and neighboring areas of the company are provided with free Wi-Fi connection.

The newly appointed mayor of Abovyan Vahagn Gevorgyan said that he highlights the cooperation with the private sector, and involvement of companies in the development of the community will contribute significantly to the development of local infrastructure.

The CEO of “Rostelecom” in Armenia Hayk Faramazyan highlighted the importance of joint projects in the framework of company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). He added that the headquarters of “Rostelecom” are situated in Abovyan city and similar activities are mutually beneficial and favorable for the company as well.

“Rostelecom” is engaged in active partnerships with communities for the benefit of the local population living standards and development of infrastructure. Such projects are being implemented with the municipalities of Yerevan, Kapan, Vanadzor and Dilijan.
