ROSTELECOM PEOPLE FOR YEREVAN. “ROSTELECOM” STAFF JOINED THE STATEWIDE CLEANING DAY

On June 8, 2019 “Rostelecom” joined the statewide cleaning day in Yerevan. Company employees cleaned the public area of Hrazdan canyon, the favorite place for citizens for decades.

“All of us live in Armenia and we want Armenia to be clean. Yerevan as a pearl of Armenia should be one of the most beautiful cities. We contribute to our country this way considering it our corporate and human responsibility. The message of the company is not only for the residents of Yerevan, but also those of all communities that everyone is responsible for keeping the environment clean and this mentality should become a lifestyle not only for us, but also for generations”, - mentioned the Advisor to General Director of “Rostelecom” in Armenia Boris Demirkhanyan.

On June 8 “Rostelecom” staff was united to clean up the public areas from garbage, and most importantly, to lead not just in keeping the city clean, but also in keeping track of polluting the environment. Green areas are the places people enjoy visiting on hot summer days, but the riverside filled with garbage can never be attractive for residents, and especially for tourists.

In the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility strategy “Rostelecom” in Armenia has always highlighted the importance of environment protection actions and measures to prevent any pollution. The issues are handled not only during company’s activities while carrying out every day tasks for the environment but also they are part of company’s corporate culture.
