COMBINATION OF THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE: STUDENTS VISITED “ROSTELECOM” DATA CENTER

On December 10 “Rostelecom” Headquarters hosted students of Yerevan branch of V.Plekhanov University of Economics, who study Cisco Systems by the study plan.

The visit started with a short excursion about “Rostelecom”, during which students got acquinted with the capacities and services of the company (both in the corporate market- Web Conference Call, Virtual Networks, IP Transit, Data Transmission, other services and to physical entities-Smart television, IP telephony, Internet), company’s network structure, as well as interesting details about the most dynamically developing company in the Armenian telecommunication market “Rostelecom”.

Students visited company’s data center equipped with the latest systems such as Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems, Extreme Networks, Fiber Home, ZTE and others, learned all about the nuances and care principles used in the processes of network construction, operation and administration issues.

The aim of the visit was to provide students with practical information on widely used and the most modern systems that meet the international standards and their application possibilities.

We remind that cooperation between "Rostelecom" and Yerevan branch of V.Plekhanov University of Economics bears a long-term and comprehensive nature covering the main areas of business awareness and contemporary technology for educating students.
