On March 9 “Rostelecom” announced the launch of a new round of “Azbuka Interneta” program.

During the meeting the details of the project were presented, groups were formed, as well as the participants got acquainted with the volunteer trainers.

"Azbuka Interneta" project in Armenia is implemented on the initiative of Rostelecom Armenia. The partners of the project are "Ayb" school, whose volunteer-students support the participants to acquire various computer skills, and V ․ Brusov State University, where the courses are held in the technically equipped classrooms of SMART Center.

“For the 5th year we hold “Azbuka Interneta” project in Amenia. The results of each round and active participation of the local people demonstrate that the program is in demand. I am happy to see that “Azbuka Interneta” is a connecting bridge between generations and both sides exchange as much knowledge and experience as possible,” mentioned the CEO of “Rostelecom” Armenia Hayk Faramazyan.

The participants of last year's "Azbuka Interneta" project were also invited to the meeting, who shared their impressions and experiences about the project, inspiring and giving great energy to the newcomers.

"I would like to alleviate the anxiety that is inside many people now. A very warm, caring atmosphere is created here, just as we took our grandchildren by the hand and led them on their way of life so that they would not stumble, these volunteers guide us very carefully to the world of computers and the Internet," said participant of 2019 year’s "Azbuka Interneta" project, Georgi Sharkhatunyan.

The courses are held for 4 weeks. In the end, the participants and volunteer instructors will receive certificates. “Azbuka Interneta” is implemented in Armenia since 2015. So far, around 300 people from Yerevan and regions of Armenia acquired computer knowledge thanks to the program.
