"ROSTELECOM" SUMMED UP THE RESULTS OF "TECHNOLOGY FOR LIFE-THE INTERNET AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT!" JOURNALISTS CONTEST IN ARMENIA
On May 26 "Rostelecom" summed up the results of the international contest "Technology for life-the Internet at the speed of light» in Armenia. The event was organized in the sales and service centers located in the Centre of Yerevan. TV journalist Haykuhi Asatryan from Armenia TV covering the sphere of IT and innovations won the competition.
The contest already has a four-year history, and with the participation of Armenian journalists contest has acquired international status. In Armenia, the contest started in December, 2014.
Summing up the results of the contest, CJSC “GNC-ALFA” CEO emphasized the importance of covering the IT sphere, professionalism and potential of all journalists participating in the competition. Wished all of them interesting and prosperous experience in the field of innovation and high technology.
"We constantly speak about the quest to make Armenia a center of information technologies, and, in this context, journalists play a key role. The aim of covering the IT sphere of MASS MEDIA, is searching for talented young people, the description of their achievements, and of course, facilitating their further improvement, so that they already today contribute to the development of IT, thereby ensuring stable economic growth for the country."said the winner Haykuhi Asatryan.
In June Haykuhi Asatryan will visit Moscow, will meet all the winners of the regional competition. Names of journalists from Russia, who will visit China in autumn of the year 2015 will be announced there.
As was mentioned before in autumn 2015 the delegation with the winners of the international contest “Technology for life-the Internet at the speed of light”, will visit the headquarters of Huawei in Shenzhen (China).
About the contest
The start of the IV International contest for journalists "Technology for life-the Internet at the speed of light!" in Armenia was announced by "Rostelecom " during a press conference at the end of the year 2014, when project coordinator Irina Zhabrova visited Yerevan.
The project "Technology for life" was held to get the attention of Media and bloggers on objective and better coverage of innovative technologies and services and their applications in different spheres of society. The main prize for the winner was a trip with the Russian delegation to Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen, China in fall 2015.
Applicants should have visited the website www.smi.rt.ru and signed in until April 10, 2015. On the same website they could find the works and detailed information about the competition: https://www.smi.rt.ru/works/armenia/ .
The competition was held among all representatives of media that illustrate the scope of IT: print media (newspapers, magazines); radio and television; online media (including news Agencies); social media (bloggers). In May, 2015 the jury summed up the results and chose the winner, who was Haykuhi Asatryan with her video on summation of Armenian IT sphere for 2014.
The Armenian jury consisted of representatives from IT sphere and Media: Executive Director of the Union of entrepreneurs of information technology, the Director of the EIF-Enterprise Incubator Foundation, Director of Microsoft Armenia, Director of “ARMENPRESS” News Agency, Director of enterprise incubator Foundation, CEO of AMI “News-Armenia”, Head of the Public Relations Unit of GNC-ALFA CJSC, "Rostelecom" Group.
Competition was organized in the framework of cooperation between “Rostelecom”, Huawei, CLIP, Mikhailov and Partners, as well as with the information support of leading Russian and Armenian Media.
