WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF “ROSTELECOM” IN ARMENIA ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION WAS ORGANIZED DEVOTED TO THE NEED FOR SPECIALISTS IN THE ICT SPHERE

On March 2, 2016 round table was held at the Yerevan branch of Russian University of Economics after V. Plekhanov on the need for specialists in the sphere of Informational-Communication Technologies, with the participation of “Rostelecom” in Armenia, Russian Center of Science and Education in Yerevan, representatives and students of the university.

During the meeting “Rostelecom” in Armenia presented its experience of cooperation with the universities and students as well as joint projects with the higher educational institutions.

“Like all over the world, in Armenia too, the sphere of innovations develops and changes rapidly, in case of human resources as well. Development of infrastructures and implementation of innovative technologies is where we see our future in. And on the way to that goal we always need highly qualified specialists who love their job. I am sure students of Yerevan branch of Russian University of Economics after V. Plekhanov have all opportunities to achieve their goals”,- mentioned CEO of “Rostelecom” in Armenia, “GNC-ALFA” CJSC, Hayk Faramazyan.

During the meeting the university presented its teaching experience of IT solutions in the scopes of the CISCO Academy.

In the end representatives of “Rostelecom” in Armenia and Yerevan branch of Russian University of Economics after V. Plekhanov signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, in the framework of which both sides will assist the students to practice their theoretical knowledge.

Earlier, since 2015 students from the university have been volunteering for teaching elderly people in the framework of “Azbuka Interneta” in the Republic of Armenia” project iniciated by “Rostelecom” in Armenia.

Being an educational, methodic, cultural, scientific and industrial center Yerevan branch of Russian University of Economics after V. Plekhanov develops and irrespective of the residence presents everybody high-quality education for their full and effective participation in social and professional fields. The educational process at the Yerevan branch of Russian University of economics after V. Plekhanov is based on the usage of new educational systems, on the combination of informational computer technologies and traditional methods.

At present the branch realizes educational programs for secondary professional education based on nine-year education.

The following scientific-research centers operate in the branch:

• Russian-Armenian center of Russian language and literature: it was founded jointly with the Russian Center of Science and education in Yerevan
• Russian Armenian business consulting center
• CISCO Academy founded with the assistance of Russian Federation Embassy to Armenia
