TEDXHERATSIST EVENT HELD WITH SUPPORT FROM ROSTELECOM

On February 29, 2020 TEDxHeratsiSt was held with support of “Rostelecom” Armenia at Elite Plaza business center.

The event was an initiative of a group of students (from the 3rd and 5th courses) of the Erevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi, who obtained the required license from the official TEDx office in the U.S. The event was dedicated to the centennial of the university’s foundation.

The event was held under the motto MasterPEACE, the aim of which was to build peace and to struggle for peace. The event provided an opportunity for people of different professions and interests to gather in one place, where the unifying force is one - internal and external peace. Speaking on different topics and areas, the event provided an opportunity to communicate, exchange ideas worth spreading, and establish new connections.

“We are happy to see that Armenia has such initiative and motivated students, who can bring world-known events like TED to Armenia. TED events used to focus on technologies and design but expanded the range of topics with time. “Rostelecom” highlights the importance of such events held for the youth, because the remarks and experience of the speakers inspire and guide young people in career choice and implementation of their ideas,” mentioned the CEO of “Rostelecom” Armenia Hayk Faramazyan.

The attendees of TEDxHeratsiSt had the opportunity to listen to experienced speakers who have recorded notable achievements in their respective fields. 

The speakers of the event were:

1. Vahram Mirakyan - Founder of "Dry Marketing", topic of the speech: "Business Start":

2. Khachik Gorgyan - President of ARMACAD, topic of his speech: "Expectations and Reality of Applying for Exchange Programs"

3. Ani Hovakimyan - Executive Director of "FIGARO" restaurant group, topic of the speech: "How the ugly chicken became a swan"

4. Gohar Navasardyan - sports psychologist, topic of the speech: "Life on Wheels"

5. Amalya Manusujyan, YSMU 6th year student, founder of "CINCO" club, topic of the speech: "Doctor-Student’s Diary"

6. Davit Ghazaryan - Lecturer, Chair of Pathophysiology, YSMU, Physician-Physician, topic of the speech: "Think, act!"

7. Lidia Ayvazyan - Nutritionist, topic of the speech: "About Health as a standard of beauty"

"We are all the descendants of the great doctor, philosopher, writer Mkhitar Heratsi. We must continue his work. We created a large platform to spread peace, discussing many topics, conveying to those present inner peace, harmony, mental health," said the organizer of the event, Anna Gabrielyan, a 5^th-year-student at the State Medical University after Heratsi.
