“ROSTELECOM” AWARDED THE WINNERS OF “VOZNI” COMPETITION

 

On June 6, “Vozni 2015” computer based competition among schoolchildren summed up the results in the building of Yerevan Expo (Yerevan Scientific Research Institute of Mathematical Machines).

The deputy minister of Economy of Republic of Armenia Emil Tarasyan and the CEO of “Rostelecom” Armenia Hayk Faramazyan provided the winners with certificates.

On behalf of “Rostelecom” the CEO of the company congratulated the participants and winners. He highlighted the importance of such competitions aimed at increase of digital literacy and usage of new technologies by schoolchildren. “I am sure that children will become more flexible by using computer programs and in the future it will give them opportunity to successfully continue education at the universities and become a competitive specialist. We can say that there are already all possibilities for receiving and enriching the knowledge including high speed internet access not only in Yerevan but also in the regions”, - said Hayk Faramazyan.

328 pupils from 28 schools of Yeravan and 53 schools of regions took part in the final phase of competition 2015.

In the scope of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects Rostelecom actively contributes to the development of secondary, undergraduate and postgraduate education.
