Rostelecom summarizes the results of 2014 activities in Armenia

“Rostelecom” has invited an annual press conference at the “Mariott” hotel in Tsaghkadzor to present and evaluates the results of 2014 activities.

“2014 was rather productive and prolific year for “Rostelecom”. Except the growth in the number of customers the company has taken serious steps directed to the improvement of customer care service. “Rostelecom” has broadened the network of SSCs and shops. We have opened a SSC in the center of Yerevan and the most important, we have expanded the payment opportunities- from terminals to banks. I am sure that “Rostelecom” confidently and with perspective projects enters 2015”, - mentioned the CEO of “GNC-ALFA” CSJC, “Rostelecom” in Armenia Hayk Faramazyan during the press conference.

The results of company’s investments in 2014 can be briefly presented in the following way:

- The company’s services are already accessible in 19 cities of the Republic of Armenia: Yerevan (with 9 administrative districts), Abovyan, Charentsavan, Hrazdan, Vanadzor, Gyumri, Ashtarak, Metsamor, Armavir, Masis, Artashat, Ararat, Sevan, Dilijan, Ijevan, Kapan, Martuni, Alaverdi and Qajaran cities.
- 26 SSCs and shops serve the customers in different parts of Armenia including Center, Erebuni, Nubarashen, Ajapnyak, Davitashen, Malatia-Sebastia, Nor Norq, Avan and Arabkir administrative districts of Yerevan and the cities Abovyan, Charentsavan, Hrazdan, Vanadzor, Gyumri, Ashtarak, Metsamor, Armavir, Masis, Artashat, Ararat, Sevan, Dilijan, Ijevan, Kapan, Martuni, Alaverdi and Qajaran.
“Rostelecom” is the only Armenian operator that entered the market from the regions and having expanded its net entered the Yerevan market.
- In 2014 “Rostelecom” built a 40 GB/sec-speed Internet chain in Yerevan, which provides all customers in Yerevan, including corporate ones, with stable, unobstructed and high-speed Internet.
- Call Center has been enhanced, advanced and modernized to improve customer service, new technological solutions are implemented due to which today we have less missed calls and all customers get answers to their questions just in time.
- Caring for its customers “Rostelecom” has expanded payment opportunities and henceforth payments can be made via:
   - express payment terminals: TelCell and Tandem
   - payment systems: Mobidram
   - branches of a number of leading Armenian banks: Converse Bank (also via web solutions and using online, with internet-banking) Armeconombank, Areximbank, Ameriabank, Armbusinessbank. And the serving banks network will expand soon.
- The company assumes the 2014 already with 26.000 customers who are sure about “Rostelecom” service quality and the opportunity to have simetrical and high-speed Internet access at their homes and offices.
- In 2014 “Rostelecom” has made about 3 billion AMD investments in Armenia.
- Besides, in 2014 “Rostelecom” paid more attention to the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility projects, which will be continuous in 2015 as well. Right now a number of schools and kindergartens, other educational institutions, public parks in Yerevan and regions of the Republic of Armenia are provided with free Internet access in the scope of these projects.
