The centenary of Armenian Genocide

As one of the leading operators of Armenia and member of Russian “Rostelecom” group, “GNC- ALFA” CJSC actively contributes to spreading information about the anniversary of Armenian Genocide (1915-1923) not only in the territory of Armenia but also outside its borders.

April 24 is announced as a Commemoration Day to the victims of Armenian Genocide. Traditionally this day thousands of Armenians and foreigners even outside the borders of Armenia, pay tribute to 1.5 million victims. On this day people put flowers in the Tsitsernakaberd memorial and visit the Armenian Genocide Museum.

In 2014 Forbes magazine ranked the Armenian Genocide Museum one of the world’s nine must-visited memorials.

On April 26, on the day of centenary of Armenian Genocide the president of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, will also visit the memorial.
Earlier on April 14, 1995 the State Duma adopted a declaration, which condemned the organizers of the Armenian Genocide in 1915-1923 and recognizes April 24 as Commemoration Day.
