"ROSTELECOM" MANAGEMENT PAID TRIBUTE TO THE VICTIMS OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE
The delegation of OJSC "Rostelecom", composed of the Executive Vice President Alexandr Rogovo, Senior Vice Presidents Melkhorn Kai-Uve and Larisa Tkachuk, accompanied by Armenian colleagues visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial to honor the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
They also visited the Museum of the Institute of the Armenian Genocide, which is a part of Protocol events of delegations. A number of foreign tourists have already visited the Museum. Among them are Pope John Paul II, the Presidents of Russia, Boris Yeltsin, Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev, President of France Jacques Chirac, as well as other prominent public and political figures.

From March 25 up to now a special information banner about Armenian Genocide is placed in the intranet of “Rostelecom headquarters, where more than 200.000 employees from whole Russian Federation have access.
This year Armenia celebrates 100-year anniversary of the of Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire, with about 1.5 million victims. The main event took place on April 24 at the Armenia memorial complex, with the participation of senior management in Armenia and high-level delegations from dozens of countries, including Russia.
