“ROSTELECOM” ARMENIA JOINED LARGEST INTERNET TRAFFIC EXCHANGE CENTERS

CJSC "GNC-ALFA" company acting under the brand "Rostelecom" joined the Frankfurt DE-CIX and Moscow MSK-IX the largest international traffic and content sharing (Internet Exchange) centers.

In particular, the connection with MSK-IX is secured by the Georgian FOPTNET (Fiber-Optic Telecommunication Network) network, Poti-Novorossiysk oversea cable and through the network owned by "Rostelecom" in the territory of Russian Federation. While the connection with DE-CIX is secured by the Georgian Caucasus Online network, Poti-Varna oversea cable and several networks of European operators in the territory of Europe.

The company has made direct investments in two separate international optical cable transmission systems thereby ensuring the geographical and technical independence of networks.

Through these platforms "Rostelecom" network is directly connected to the resources of international telecommunication (France Telecom, TeliaSonera, Telenor, Deutshche Telekom, etc.) and content providing prestigious companies (Google, Facebook, e-Bay, Apple, etc.).

Thanks to the consistent upgrades of “Rostelecom” network, technological solutions provided to customers are being continually improved and modernized meeting the market's dynamic and fast-moving developments.

Joining the international traffic exchange centers was aimed at upgrading the quality of provided services to both corporate and resident customers of the company ensuring a competitive advantage in the market.
