WITH THE SUPPORT OF “ROSTELECOM” CHILDREN FROM ARTSAKH PARTICIPATED IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM "IN THE MASTERPIECE
On December 24 and 25, a reception was organized at the Museum of Russian Art for 45 children from different communities of Artsakh who took refuge in Yerevan. The project is supported by “Rostelecom” Armenia.
The Museum of Russian Art (Prof. A. Abrahamyan's collection), guided by the international experience of non-formal educational activities of museums, included a tour of the museum within the framework of the educational program for children as well as the presentation of Grigorev’s painting "The Zoo" through VR technology. With the help of various interactive games, the children got acquainted with the species of animals, their place of residence, gained new knowledge about the animal world and the surrounding nature. And in the practical part of the program, the children appeared "inside" the painting through VR glasses.
The pre-created 3D environment based on the picture allows to listen to the story of the painting created by Grigorev - "The Zoo" in three languages: Armenian, English and Russian.
"It is very important to build bridges between children and art, and nowadays the use of the latest technologies makes that process even more attractive and satisfying. During these two days, our children from Artsakh got the opportunity to communicate with art in a new way. I am sure, they received positive impressions and new knowledge at the end of the educational program. This new and unique project aims to reveal the world of art from another point of view, proving that technologies in any field are our future," mentioned the CEO of “Rostelecom” Armenia Hayk Faramazyan.
Earlier, on September 26, within the framework of "European Heritage Days" program there took place the presentation of Grigorev’s painting "The Zoo" through Virtual Reality (VR) technologies. This project was sponsored by Rostelecom Armenia.
