ACCESSIBLE EDUCATION FOR EVERYONE: “ROSTELECOM” EXPANDS THE FRAMEWORK OF DISTANCE EDUCATION

Assessing the situation in the country due to the spread of the coronavirus and the need for distance learning, “Rostelecom” is taking new steps to make distance education more accessible.
The company provides an opportunity for all cable TV operators in Armenia to rebroadcast the Hybrid Edu (ch121) TV channel which is broadcsted via “Rostelecom” Smart TV.

“Taking into account the possibility of distance learning in the current conditions, we have decided to give our partners operating in different places of the Republic of Armenia the opportunity to make this educational TV channel available to their subscribers too. We are sure that only through joint efforts it is possible to solve the problems arisen in difficult situations",- mentioned Hayk Faramazyan, the CEO of “Rostelecom” Armenia.

Last week “Rostelecom”, in cooperation with “HYBRID SOLUTIONS” company, announced about (https://www.rtarmenia.am/news/view/rostelecom-education) broadcasting a new educational TV channel (Hybrid Edu (ch121)) via company’s Smart. On the air of Hybrid Edu TV channel it is possible to follow the distance learning courses prepared by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia and conducted by the best teachers of the Republic of Armenia, on a number of subjects from school program. The video materials are also available on with separate subsections on the educational platform of Series section of company’s Smart Television.

It should be noted that within the framework of the initiative to make distance education more accessible, it is now possible to watch the educational materials of "Khan" Academy (the Armenian office of "Ayb" educational foundation) on the air of Hybrid Edu TV channel through "Rostelecom" Smart TV. The exercises and lessons developed by the specialists of "Khan" Academy have a variety of contents, from mathematics to art, statistics and probability theory.
